The Gold Coast consists of five main areas on the coast. They are:

- Main Beach
- Surfers Paradise
- Broadbeach
- Burleigh Heads
- Coolangatta

Surfers Paradise is the most famous of the areas due to it's hotel accommodation, restaurants with entertaining nightlife and golden beaches. All regions of the coast have sensational beaches. Visitors must exercise care when swimming as there can be rips and other dangers. Always swim in a patrolled area.

The Gold Coast is a vibrant place to visit so bring your energy as the days are long and warm and the nights allow late night alfresco dining. Kids are well catered for with the theme parks providing endless entertainment and enjoyment.
