In its immediate hinterland are the towering rainforests of Central Station and the island's splendid lakes, McKenzie and Birrabeen with Lake Wabby to the north.

The surf beach scenic attractions, Eli Creek, the Maheno shipwreck and the Cathedrals coloured sand cliffs are within a half hour beach drive.

A splendid new signature complex containing a restaurant, bars, conference and function rooms overlooks a large freeform swimming pool.

A casual beachfront bar and evening entertainment centre with karaoke adjoin the second pool.

A well stocked mini supermarket, with mainland prices, supplies everything from groceries, meat, vegetables, to souvenirs, camping equipment and fishing gear. Ice, fuels and motor oils are also on sale. A hot bread bakery and cafe supplies casual snacks.

Conducted scenic tours of the island in 4WD coaches depart every morning and afternoon.

There are BBQ’s, tennis, 4WD vehicles for hire and guided bushwalks.

Day tours and 4WD coach services operate daily from Hervey Bay, Rainbow Beach and the Sunshine Coast.

Eurong Beach Resort specialises in accommodated / tour packages for coach groups and safari tours for school and specialist groups.

Coral Sea and Tradewinds Apartments:

Modern two-bedroom apartments can accommodate up to six people. They have a large lounge with satellite television and laptop compatible telephones. They have a fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a large private verandah.

Coral Sea and Tradewinds Rooms:

Spacious self contained rooms with satellite television and laptop conpatible telephones. They have a fully-equipped kitchenette, shower, toilet and private verandah or patio. Double or twin beds with a sofa to make two more singles for children.

Korawinga Apartments:

Large two-bedroom apartments to cater for up tp six people, with a sofa, fully-equipped spacious kitchen, bathroom and private verandah.

Korawinga Rooms:

Large self contained rooms with double or twin beds and a sofa making two more children's singles. They have a kitchenette, private facilities and private balcony or patio.

Maheno Rooms:

Similar facilities to Korawinga Rooms. Verandah overlooking the beach.

A Frame Cottages:

Budget cottages to accommodate up to 8 people, with full kitchen and private amenities.

Marloo Apartments:

Budget two-bedroom family apartments to accommodate up to six people with a large lounge, full-size kitchen and bathroom. A verandah gives surf views.

Surfside Motel:

Rooms to sleep four with private facilities and kitchenette.
