3 Days - 2 Nights in the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
The story of Defender is the story of Australia's maritime history. She was built in 1896 in Kincumber, northern NSW. She measures 115' overall with a 22' beam. Her buider George Frost had 22 ships to his credit and Defender was considered his best.
Defender has been beautifully restored by Tall Ship Adventures and joined the Aussie Adventure Sailing fleet of overnight sailing vessels.
With large open stable decks, you can join the crew and help set the sails of this thoroughbred, or find a quiet corner to relax and enjoy cruising the waters of the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Spend each day aboard this magnificent tall ship sailing the sheltered waters of the Whitsunday Islands, anchoring in beautiful pristine locations.
Enjoy exploration of this world famous wonderland by snorkelling and swimming amongst the fringing coral reefs of the Whitsunday Islands.
Spend time ashore where you can enjoy beachcombing and bushwalks learning about the exceptional biodiversity of the area with your experienced crew.
At night stay aboard Defender or take the unique opportunity to spend the night camping ashore at our exclusive tropical island beachfront locations. The privacy of twin share tents are available- 26 passengers
