Freight Train was designed by German Frers and constructed out of aluminium in Perth, WA. The design specifications produced a world beating yacht with an illustrious racing career. Freight Train won and was placed in many races including the Kenwood Cup in Hawaii and the world famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
A 60ft “pocket-maxi”, Freight Train takes up to 15 passengers for a fun-filled 3-day, 2-night adventure. Departure days are Sundays and Thursdays.
Learn to sail
On "The Train" you will experience the ultamate thrill of a pedigree racing yacht. Learning to sail and receiving your AYF Introductory certificate or your competent crew certificate is also a great optional extra.
With a spacious open plan living area, Freight Train has all the comforts you would normally find on the more luxurious cruising type vessels. Single berths in share accommodation are available.
Freight Train’s professional crew take pride in handling small intimate groups, giving the highest standard of service possible.
All food is freshly prepared onboard. Vegetarians and other dietary requirements can be catered for.
Onboard Freight Train you will experience the best of the Whitsunday islands, from the most colourful snorkelling destinations to the alluring Whitehaven Beach.
