Broomstick was built in South Africa to win the Cape Town to Rio Yacht Race. From there she went on to compete in many of the world's most famous blue water events including the Sydney to Hobart. As a true Maxi, she is big, comfortable and very fast. She finished racing in 2000 and was converted to charter in 2001. Prosail prides itself on the fact that we have no fixed itinerary for our schedules departure sailing holidays. The desires of guests are considered in relation to prevailing weather conditions, to ensure that everyone aboard enjoys the ultimate Maxi Sailing Adventure.

Broomstick and her multi award winning crew will take you on an unforgettable 3 day 2 night sailing adventure throughout the Whitsunday Islands and, weather permitting, may visit the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Your cruise may also include a stopover at a resort. You can participate in all activities such as diving, snorkelling, bushwalking and helping to sail a true Maxi or simply sit back and just take it all in, the choice is yours.

Your cruise will take you to some of the best dive sites that our region has to offer, providing experiences for beginner and expert. For divers who are certified, you can participate in up to five different dive experiences including a night dive. Introductory divers If you are not certified but would like to experience the thrill of diving, our highly qualified instructors will take you on an unforgettable underwater adventure.
