Launched in May 1990, Matador outclassed her opposition, competing in 52 races, 8 regattas and two Maxi World Championships undefeated. Constructed from carbon fibre at a total cost exceeding $20 million. Matador is truly an awesome sailing machine. At 85 feet in length, Matador is the largest International Ocean Racing maxi yacht ever built.

Having first joined the ProSail fleet in January 1997, Matador was the first Carbon Fibre Maxi Yacht converted to overnight charter work in Australia. Complete with a brand new rig, new sails, state of the art electronics, and a soft refurbishment of the interior, guests now have a unique opportunity to enjoy " Formula 1" sailing.

Our skipper and crew will gladly show you the ropes - literally! So if you want to participate in sailing or simply relax, the choice is yours. Scuba Diving is an optional extra.
